STEP 1: connect with our Community Care Counselor

The first step in your journey is to connect with our Community Care Counselor, who will ask you some questions to better get to know your child, learn the goals you have for your child, and help you determine if we are a good fit for your family. She’ll also guide you through the steps to getting started with ABA therapy. Fill out the form or give us a call to get started,

STEP 2: INSURANCE VERIFICATION

Navigating your insurance benefits can be confusing, and we want to take the headache out of this process.

We are in-network with most major insurance providers. We will verify your plan benefits for you and then go over the information we gathered from your provider with you. We will help you understand any out-of-pocket costs you may be responsible for (deductibles, co-pay, co-insurance, out-of-pocket max, etc.). We will need a copy of your insurance card and an image of the primary policy holder’s driver’s license. If you want to get a head start, you can complete the Insurance Verification Form by clicking the link below. Once you have completed this quick form, our Clinic Manager will reach out to you.

DIAGNOSIS

Receiving an autism diagnosis can be overwhelming, and you will probably have many questions about what happens next. Our Community Care Counselor is excited to support you through the intake process to get your child the necessary therapeutic services as quickly as possible.

If you do not have a diagnosis – Our team is here to walk you through where and how to get an official diagnosis and assist with any questions. To authorize ABA therapy, most insurance providers will require a comprehensive diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder by a licensed medical professional and a prescription for ABA therapy.

If you have a diagnosis – If your child already has a diagnosis, we will work with you to gather the necessary documentation for insurance authorization.

STEP 3: complimentary consultation

Once your insurance benefits have been verified, we will set up a complimentary consultation with your family and our Clinic Director, a licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). During this time, the Clinic Director will ask you questions about your child, learn about their strengths and challenges, and get to know your child and your family better. You will learn more about our organization, our treatment style, and what makes us different from other ABA providers. When you leave, you will have a better understanding of what treatment might look like, how ABA can help, and if it’s a good fit for your family.

STEP 4: evaluation & insurance authorization

After the Complimentary Consultation, we will confirm with you your child’s schedule and set up an evaluation. During the evaluation, you can expect our team of professionals to gather information about your child in the areas of behavior, play, social skills, etc. The evaluations will be conducted in a naturalistic setting through play and other therapy methods. Our team will discuss what your child’s treatment plan may look like and walk you through the recommendations. A copy of this initial evaluation can be sent to you upon completion. Once we have made sure the treatment plan and family goals align, we will submit it to the insurance carrier for authorization of therapy services.

STEP 5: STARTING SERVICES

On your child’s first day you will meet your team of dedicated professionals that will be working one-on-one with your child. Therapy is always supervised by a BCBA, and carried out by Certified Registered Behavior Technicians. Our team records data and milestones met throughout the therapy sessions to show progress or to make adjustments to your child’s individualized treatment plan. Throughout the course of treatment, goals will be updated and shared with you during monthly parent meetings. During these meetings, you will be able to collaborate with your child’s team and develop goals together.
